Ok, so here's the first full board I've done. It's not that great, but it will work for the beta. If I have time before the beta, I will put in more detail. Hopefully I can start picking up techniques by then. I still have about 3 parts of the outside village and about 5 interiors to make. Plus a pond, arena, characters, and items (things like barrels, tables, chairs, food, and whatever else). I also need to make a basic title screen and dialog boxes. PLUS the big oak in the middle of town. I really hope this can be done in time. It took me 2 days to make this (3 hours on computer). But I have learned some new techniques, so I'm hoping it can be shorter next time.

Without further ado, here it is the first actually board that will be used in the game.



This screen is zoomed out, but when it's upclose the shadows don't look too off.

Do you have the original drawings still? Keep them, so when you draw the rest of the map, you can make sure they line up right. It'll look wierd if they don't line up.

I have it with all the parts a different color, just in case the colors weren't liked. But ya I do.

That's not all of the map. The tree is missing, but I'm going to add it once the part below this is done. Blade it looks better when you see it in the right resolution.

How many people do you think are going to join? Is it going to be just this one town or will there be more?

Most people on the forums will join by the time the beta is up, probably. And we'll keep advertising, etc.

For the beta, it'll be just this town, I think. Beta is just a little -*test*-('"), and then it'll expand from there.

Perfect example

After the beta, people will be more likely to join. For now we just need to make sure the engine runs smoothly and it has no bugs. Once we have a engine we can use, we will expand the playing area. So basically for now, just us will be playing unless others decide to join.
